Supported Browsers

It's time for us to upgrade our web-site and we now support a new generation of browsers. We understand that a number of our clients still use Internet Explorer version 6, and although we no longer officially support this version, we have tried to accommodate our clients until such a time that they too upgrade.

We do highly recommend that all our clients use the latest version of their respective browsers to ensure the highest level of security and experience.

We now officially support the following browsers:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and above
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Safari

If you are experiencing any issues accessing any part of our web-site, please contact admin@idealing.com and we will endeavour to resolve any issues that you encounter.


Cookie Settings

To access your iDealing account, your browser must support and have enabled cookies. We use cookies to track your user session, and this allows you to log in and access your account.

To enable cookies:

Internet Explorer 6

  1. In the menu bar select 'Tools' > 'Internet Options'.
  2. Select the 'Privacy' tab.
  3. Without needing to change your current security settings, click 'Edit'within the Web Sites section.
  4. Add the address 'idealing.com' to the list of allowed web sites.
  5. Click 'OK', and 'OK' again to confirm settings.

Internet Explorer 7 and above

  1. In the menu bar select 'Tools' > 'Internet Options'.
  2. Select the 'Privacy' tab.
  3. Without needing to change your current security settings, click 'Sites'underneath the security slider.
  4. Add the address 'idealing.com' to the list of allowed web sites.
  5. Click 'OK', and 'OK' again to confirm settings.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. In the menu bar select 'Tools' > 'Options'
  2. Select the 'Privacy' tab from the pictured choices at the top of the dialog.
  3. Without needing to change your current security settings, click 'Exceptions' next to the 'cookies' check box.
  4. Add the address 'idealing.com' to the list of allowed web sites.
  5. Click 'Close', and 'OK' again to confirm settings.

Other Browsers

To see if your browser supports cookies, and for detailed instructions about how to enable cookies, refer to your browser's help section.

If you see a message to notify you that a web-site is trying to send you a cookie when you try to login, you should choose to continue or you will not be able to login.

If your browser does not support cookies, you should upgrade to a version that does. Refer to our list of supported browsers for a choice of new browser versions!


JavaScript Settings

JavaScript is required for many features and functionality to work with the new iDealing web-site.

If JavaScript is disabled on your browser, you should enable it by following these simple instructions...

Internet Explorer 6 and above

  1. In the menu bar select 'Tools' > 'Internet Options'.
  2. Select the 'Security' tab.
  3. Click 'Custom Level' within the Web Sites section.
  4. Check the 'Enable' option next to the 'Active scripting' bullet.
  5. Click 'OK', and 'OK' again to confirm settings.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. In the menu bar select 'Tools' > 'Options'
  2. Select the 'Content' tab from the pictured choices at the top of the dialog.
  3. Check the 'Enable JavaScript' option.
  4. 'OK' again to confirm settings.

Java Virtual Machine (JVM)

In order to operate the iDealer dashboard, it is a requirement that you have Java installed on your computer; among other things this allows your to receive streaming prices.

There are various ways to ensure that Java is installed and you have the required browser plug-in. The easiest method is to verify Java.

We strongly recommend that you keep your Java up-to-date with the latest version. You can test your Java version and upgrade if required!

It is also important to ensure that you have the correct version of Java installed on your computer. This is particularly important for users of 64-bit operating systems. If you are struggling to access the iDealer dashboard, the following link may be useful...


Trade Confirmations / Contract Notes

iDealing sends all contract notes via e-mail in plain text format with an attachment in HTML format. In order to receive these correctly you should ensure that your e-mail software is set to allow HTML format attachments.

When you receive the e-mail, double clicking on the attachment should open the file in your Internet browser from where you can print and save it.
